A silver ring set with a large cushion-shaped amethyst, photographed against a warm grey background and held in fine tweezers. Two swallows are carved into the face of the stone, and the curve of the cabochon carries the image down into the purple so that the birds appear to hang in the depth of it. Flowers in relief sit at the shoulders of the setting, each with a small diamond at its centre, and the surrounding metal is covered in fine hand-punched dots.

Swallows navigate by the earth's magnetic field. They always find home.
