COMMISSIONS
A commission begins with a conversation and ends with a numbered entry in the studio ledger. What happens between is the work. The process has four stages:
I. Correspondence. You describe what you carry and what you want made permanent. I listen and consider.
II. Proposal. I research, think, and draw. This takes approximately one week and requires a design fee of €500, applied in full to the final piece.
III. Making. Full material costs are invoiced before anything is ordered. The bench work begins when materials arrive.
IV. Delivery. The balance is settled before the piece leaves the studio.
I accept a small number of commissions each year. Not for scarcity — because each one requires complete attention.
If you carry something worth making permanent — write.
